Moore, 33, was waived by Sacramento this past Thursday, having averaged 3.5 points and 3.3 rebounds in 46 games for the Kings this season.

"Mikki's length, energy, skill and experience, along with his enthusiasm to come to Boston, will be a great boost for us," said Danny Ainge, Celtics president of basketball operations.

The 7-foot Moore previously played for Boston in three games during the 2002-03 season. In 510 career games over 11 NBA seasons with Detroit, Boston, Atlanta, New Jersey, Utah, the Los Angeles Clippers, Seattle and Sacramento, Moore has career averages of 5.9 points and 3.9 boards.
