Orioles welcome back Pie; shelve struggling Millwood

Pie has been sidelined since suffering a muscle strain in his upper back eight games into the season. He was hitting .400 with a solo homer and scored four runs before the injury.

Millwood gave up five runs on five hits and two walks in his only inning of work against Detroit on July 5.

Baltimore's Opening Day starter lost his first eight decisions this season and is just 2-8 with a woeful 5.77 earned-run average over 18 starts.
