New Jersey has dropped two straight and six of seven games and will wrap up a three-game homestand Friday night. It fell to 0-2 on the residency following a 111-92 loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday, as LeBron James totaled 26 points and 14 assists to lead the Cavs in that one. Brook Lopez had 21 points and 14 rebounds while Terrence Williams scored a career-best 21 points for New Jersey, which saw its record fall to 6-54 on the season and is trying desperately to avoid finishing with the worst record in NBA history, set by the 1972-73 Philadelphia 76ers (9-73). "Right now, [Cleveland] is the best team in the league and you can't spot them 20 points in the first quarter and then start playing and expect to win," said Nets coach Kiki Vandeweghe. "Basically, it was a pretty even game after that." The Nets have been brutal at home this season, having posted a 3-27 mark. On the injury front, guard Courtney Lee (ankle) is questionable for Friday. Lee is averaging 12.2 ppg and has missed back-to-back contests. Orlando will try to sweep the season series from New Jersey and has taken the first two meetings between the teams in 2009-10. It has won six of its last seven matchups with the Nets, while these two teams have split the last 10 games held at the Meadowlands.
