Steve Blake chipped in 12 points and five assists while Baron Davis added 10 points and nine assists for Los Angeles, which dropped to 7-26 as the guest this season. The Heat took control from the start, opening the game on a 14-3 burst. The Clippers chipped away at the deficit and had it down to four, 18-14, on Butler's trey with about 3 1/2 minutes to go. Chalmers' three-pointer had the home team ahead 34-24 after one quarter of action. Miami maintained that margin in the second and took a 57-48 lead into the locker room. Back-to-back three-pointers from Butler had Los Angeles within five, 75-70, with less than five minutes remaining in the third. However, the Heat responded by closing out the period on a 15-2 run. Wade had seven points during the burst, which Chalmers capped with a trey to make it 90-72. The Clippers never got closer than ninth in the fourth. Game Notes The Heat and Clippers split a pair of meetings this season...Despite the loss, Los Angeles has won five of the last eight games in this series...The Clippers have lost 12 of their last 13 road games...Miami went 29-of-35 from the foul line, while the Clippers made 10-of-13 from the charity stripe.
